Ben Cousins first non premiership match with Richmond.

Jordan McMahon is penalised for deliberately rushing the ball through for a behind, and becomes the first footballer in history to have the new penalty introduced. The point does not stand, and the resulting free kick to Collingwood's John Anthony resulted in the ball being kicked out of bounds.

The League later found the umpire had erred in his judgement
